I went with a group to this hike of Katusu Konda organized by Border Adventure. It was a very professionally organized trip. I particularly appreciated very frank advice to the group members not to venture with dangerous selfies otherwise they may lose their lives. Another appreciable aspect was the warming up exercise at the beginning of the hike. Guides also went to support almost everyone with care and caution. Lunch was very full and filling. They also reduced the cost by 500 LKR since the bus was non-air conditioned (the air conditioned bus got cancelled at last minute). It is nice to take responsibility of their action.

The trip was also very economical, very good value for money.

I will like to do more travels with the group.

I have a suggestion: like some other similar travel groups, Border Adventure also should propose the group travelers to voluntarily contribute an amount as gratuity for the guides. After all, gratuity is a normal, healthy and fair practice in Sri Lanka and elsewhere too. No one will mind if asked to contribute on a voluntary basis.

I recently had the pleasure of going on my first adventure tour with Border Adventures, and it was an unforgettable experience! We embarked on a challenging yet rewarding hike to Knuckles 5 Peak, and it was truly a journey to remember.

The guides Lojith, Jayalath, and Heshan from Border Adventures were exceptional, providing us with expert guidance and ensuring our safety throughout the trek. Their knowledge of the area and the trail added so much depth to the experience.

The hike itself was breathtaking, with each step offering stunning views of the surrounding landscapes. The Knuckles mountain range is truly a gem of Sri Lanka, and I feel grateful to have been able to explore it with Border Adventures and the rest of the people who joined the tour became good friends by the end of the tour.

It was an awesome adventure for me. I liked the itinerary provided by The Border adventure . As a female solo traveller I felt safe and covered everything within full journey and staffs were well behaved. Village Food what they provided was also delicious 😋 😋. It was my best experience had in Sri Lanka ❤️. All the team is very friendly and helping to archive your expectations 😍😍😍😍.

Myself and my wife completed the knuckles hike and overnight camp and it was the crowning jewel of our adventures in Sri Lanka. The views were breathtaking, though the heat and climb certainly added to it, and the little dog that joined us for the WHOLE HIKE made it even more fun. We were lucky with the weather and had the most incredible sunset and rise either of us have ever seen. Our guides Jagath and Shan were amazing and the food they prepared in the evening was fantastic and exactly what we needed. For anyone wanting to do what we did, we would advise taking some warmer clothes (for overnight) but otherwise we wouldn’t change a thing.

10/10 would recommend.

Thank you for the most exciting experience while 3 weeks in Sri Lanka. We will recommend this team to anyone who would like to explore the wilderness in Sri Lanka. Our family (2 adult and 2 kids (12+15) had two amazing days in the knuckles Mountains, together with the fantastic team from Border Adventures. We hiked/climped Peak 1 and Peak 2 in Knuckles Mountains and spend the night in a rent on the top. This was a super exciting and fantastic tour. Thank you so much

I spent three days hiking with two fantastic guides in the Knuckles range. The service provided was exceptional and the routes selected were challenging but worth the effort! The 7 falls route in particular. I will recommend Border Adventures to all my friends. Great organisation great people great fun!

I came here for three days and it was a lot of fun. We made some light physical training and did some kayaking and hiking. It was a great experience and the camp was really comfortable and well equiped.

I spent two days in the camping site. The equipement was great: tent with private bathroom. During my stay, I did rafting, canyoning, jump confidence in the river, climbing rocks, swimming and sliping in amazing waterfall. I really felt alive ! In addition to this, the food was tasty.

We planned a family camping and we were lucky enough to find the border camping. The time we had was amazing. From the beginning of the camping, guidance given by Mr. Lojitha Rambukwella was impressive. All adventures we wanted to experience in the trip was conducted with 100% safety and the professionalism of the instructors and the equipment they used were above all required standards anyone can expect. Further the camping site is amazingly beautiful, the view of River Mahaweli to the camp site is giving you a perfect holiday feeling. Tents will provide you comfortable stay and mouth watering Sri Lankan cuisine provides by chef uncle Podinoriya was fantastic. Further the amazing camp fire with BBQ and music session will give you a heavenly feeling. Activities started with waterfall sliding, swimming and rafting. Morning started with tea trail trekking and physical training sessions. Abseiling and wall climbings will give you goosebumps for sure. At the end I should appreciate about the package and the reduced discount given by the Mr Rambukwella for my family and the rates for locals and foreigners are same here.
